Data protection principles and information acc. the basic data protection regulation (DSGVO) of Rehwald Associates GmbH

In keeping with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Rehwald Associates GmbH takes the protection of personal data very seriously. We treat all personal data confidentially, in accordance with this statement and with all local data protection rules. This statement summarises our data protection policy.

Our website can be used without supplying personal data. Should such data (e.g. name, address or e-mail) be supplied, this is done voluntarily. Such data will not be given to third parties without consent. We would, however, like to point out that data transfer on the internet (for example per e-mail) is not entirely secure. Hence, complete protection of such data from third parties is not possible.

Processing and use

For the application process at our clients, we collect relevant personal data – e.g. name, address and e-mail as well as educational and professional information – and store it in our data pool. This includes CVs and references from the candidate, which are then forwarded to our clients upon consent. Should you participate in a search organised by Rehwald Associates GmbH, you agree to have your data saved electronically and used for the purposes of filling the job vacancy. This includes comparing the information provided in your application with the requirements for the vacant position at our clients. You further agree to letting any employee of Rehwald Associates GmbH use your data explicitly for the purpose of filling the vacancy. It also cannot be ruled out that the operator of our website may have access to your data – for example during routine maintenance of the site.

Your rights as a user

You have the right under the EU’s GDPR to cancel the use of your personal data at any time. This will result in your data no longer be used in the future. You also have the right to ask us how the data we collect from you is being used. Examples of such usage include the type of data used; who the recipients of the data are and how long the data will be stored. You have the right to have your data corrected, deleted or the distribution thereof limited. You also have the right to have your data returned to you in machine-readable format and the right to file a complaint about the use of your data with the relevant supervisory authority. These rights are laid out and guaranteed by the EU’s GDPR directive.

Your right to cancel

As long as your data is being used by authorised parties, you have the right under the EU GDPR directive to cancel such usage. The reasons for such cancellation would relate to your special situation. If you would like to exercise your right to cancel, please send an e-mail to

Period of data use

Rehwald Associates use your data as long as it may do so legally or as long as appropriate. Once the purpose of the usage has been fulfilled, your data will be automatically deleted. The period of usage/storage is in compliance with legal requirements.

Cookies

Our website partly uses cookies. Their purpose is to make use of our website easier and safer. Cookies do not contain viruses and do no damage to your computer. Cookies are tiny text files saved on your computer and which are drawn on by your browser. Our website mostly uses “Session-Cookies,” which expire automatically once the user leaves our site. Other Cookies remain saved on your device until you yourself delete them. These Cookies enable us to identify your browser when your re-visit our site. You can configure your browser to be informed about the use of Cookies, accept them in certain cases or reject them outright. You can also have your browser automatically delete Cookies once closed. If Cookies are de-activated, the functionality of our website will be limited.

Contact form

Should you send us a query via our contact form, the data you provide will only be used or stored for the purposes of answering the query. We will not pass this data on “without your permission.

SSL Encryption

This website uses SSL encryption to protect confidential content shared by the user on our website. The encryption can be recognised when in the address line of your browser the prefix changes from “http://” to “https://” and a padlock icon appears next to the address. When the encryption is activated, any data transferred to us cannot be seen by third parties.

Google reCAPTCHA

Our website also uses Google reCAPTCHA (Google’s address: 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California 94043, USA)

reCAPTCHA enables us to determine whether the data entry on our websites, for example via our contact form, is done by a person or an internet bot. reCAPTCHA analyses the user’s behaviour, and this analysis begins as soon as the user enters our site. In the analysis, reCAPTCHA monitors such things as the IP address, the amount of time spent on the website as well as the number of times the mouse is moved. The analysis is then done in the background, and the user is not informed of the procedure. The analysis is, however, in compliance with the EU’s GDPR directive. We have every right to protect our website from abuse by third parties – for example by being spied on or by being attacked by SPAM.
